A woman who had a rare form of cancer has written a powerful, life-changing and ultimately inspirational “moon tarot” card that helped her cope with her diagnosis.
The woman, who cannot be named because of her condition, wrote the card to herself on her birthday last month, and has since shared it with the world on Twitter.
She said she thought the card would be funny, but the thought of her life ending was too much for her.
“I started thinking about death a lot.
I wanted to share it with people, I wanted it to go viral,” she said.
She wrote that she was going to “never die”.
“There is a card that is the moon in the card that you will be able to see,” she wrote.
“If you don’t look at it carefully it could be the card of death.”
You can have it with you when you die.
“She told ABC Radio Melbourne that she didn’t want the world to see the card and she didn.”
It’s not really the card I want to share, it’s my life,” she told the station.”
The card I’m sharing is a memory of me that is my story, and I wanted people to have that.
“It is about me, it is about what I’m going through, and what I will be going through with the cancer.”
She said the card reminded her of how much she loved her family.
“People who are diagnosed with cancer often say to me, ‘what am I doing?’
It is a lot of hard work, it really is, but you can make a difference, and that is what I wanted,” she added.
The card has since been shared on Twitter more than 10,000 times.
The ABC has contacted the woman for comment.
